The BenQ GW2490 base measures about 198 × 182 mm. Dell lists 249.80 × 177 mm for the P2425H base and 272.80 × 189 mm for the P2725H. These are outer base dimensions. The manufacturer sources and their precision are recorded below.
Base size and overall depth
All dimensions are in millimetres. This is a three-model reference sample selected because the manufacturers publish base dimensions. We haven't physically measured these monitors or ranked them for stability.

*BenQ's drawing labels the side-view base depth 182.00 mm and the top-view depth 181.92 mm. We use the side-view value. The drawing title identifies GW2490, although the download URL contains BL2490. Decimal places reproduce source precision; they don't specify manufacturing tolerances.

Which measurement answers your question?
- Base width and depth
- The outside dimensions of the base, viewed from above. Use them to sketch its bounding rectangle on your desktop. A curved or cut-out base won't fill that whole rectangle.
- Overall depth with stand
- The monitor assembly's front-to-back extent in the manufacturer's stated configuration. Projections beyond the base can make this larger than base depth.
- Screen setback
- The distance from the front of the base to the screen plane. This field is unverified for all three records; it stays
nullin the download. - Contact footprint
- The positions of the feet touching the desk. Outer dimensions don't locate those feet or establish whether a particular riser supports them.
Try the dimensions on your desk
Cut a paper rectangle to the base width and depth in the table. Place it beside your keyboard, then mark the monitor's overall depth separately. This checks the planned layout; cable bends and wall clearance still need their own space.
For a hypothetical 500 mm-deep desk, the P2425H's listed 181.75 mm assembled depth leaves 318.25 mm after subtraction. That arithmetic assumes the assembly starts at the rear edge. It doesn't establish a viewing distance or include clearance for cables.
